• The Edcamp movement began in 2010 as a way to provide access to high quality, personalized professional learning for all educators. Edcamps are independently organized and there is NO COST to attend. Participants develop and facilitate sessions based on their own interests and needs.The Edcamp Foundation developed and is a non-profit organization

  • 70 total attendees checked in through our online EventBrite app. Of these 70, 55 were Marshall County Educators. Total attendance including student volunteers and presenters, outside agency representatives, folks who just showed up on June 23rd was approximately 90.

  • 20 employee volunteers- These folks helped secure door prizes, prepare the rooms and cafeteria the day before, put out signs, distributed door prizes, sign in attendees, assist with technology, just anything!

  • 7 Marshall County educators are working to earn a Professional Learning Unit by organizing and hosting a mini Edcamp on their campus. Those will take place at both Asbury (August 3) and Brindlee Mountain (August 2).

  • Huge thanks to Schneider Electric for sponsoring lunch.

  • Kennamer Bros. Trucking and Mack Transportation sponsored the t shirts.

  • Marshall County Legislative Office - monetary donation that allowed us to purchase golf shirts for the volunteers and additional door prizes.

  • In addition to our Marshall County attendees, we had educators in attendance from Arab, Etowah County, Cullman, college students, Chilton County, Technology in Motion, and Keith George from the ALSDE.
